End of week 4 :-/

Actually: ‘Start of week 5’ but yesterday marked the end of a pretty hectic weekend so this wee blog got bumped onto today’s ‘Todoos’, sorry folks :P

So…An epic week for the Road to Change, beginning in York at the Transcendental Meditation weekend (which I recommend to all, especially survivors www.tm-meditation.co.uk) along with that mad seven day Juicefest which both finished on Monday…Thank God…I came home feeling like a different person, and kinda looking like one too…

Edward M Smith

We have Edward M Smith in da house…

Ed (Award-winning film maker, Director, Producer) not only directed and produced ‘To Kill a Kelpie’ the Movie, he’s stepped up to help secure the Motorhome.

Having approached almost 200 dealers, rental agents and manufactures to no avail, I figured it’s time I get my big brother to sort them out… the man knows how to haggle…

Maurice P Smith (AKA Mojo)

We got Mojo!!!

Mojo helped set up roadtochange.eu and will be accompanying me for the first 2 months on the Road as the follow driver. He’s also my big brother (handy family…I know right).

I am looking forward to his cooking! He’ll be heading up the bake sale at the Road to Change Garage sale later this month, and you don’t want to miss his buns, so get yours along…

Suzie

Also!!!! Susan Smith

(My sister, Squeezie) an expert in organising and logistics.

She has an ability find the best deals online, which is perfect for all the travel insurance, foreign medical cards, telecom packages and the million other wee details involved in simply walking 10,000 miles…

Plus Squeezie has a telephone voice that can make people take us seriously :)

Nothing is too tricky for these guys, and I know the walk will be a huge success thanks to there help…and wouldn’t be possible without them.

We still need to source a lot of money, I have a lot of training to do and the clock is ticking.

Amanda Thompson, who filmed and edited the wee video on the home page is coming on board in a few rolls. She’s been calling all kinds of companies for sponsorship, European Press Offices and countless other wee tasks that need doing in the set up to this epic undertaking.

On top of that, she’s studying for a theory test to qualify her to drive a Motorhome as she is (drumroll please) The Driver of the Motorhome on the Road To Change!!!

Very excited to have her on board, and can’t thank her enough for going through all these blooming Rabies and Tic vaccines to keep us safe on the 10,000 miles road…

The Road to Change begins in 31 days!!! I only wish ‘wee me’ was here to see it…

Thanks for reading, share and geeza few quid too :P
